Vikings Cricket Club of Virginia was established in 2007 by a group of friends to compete in DC metropolitan area and registered itself as a member o Washington Metropolitan Cricket Board (WMCB).  In its first year, Vikings won the WMCB Division II Round Robin and BOD trophies as well as qualifying for division I.

In 2008, Vikings was crowned the WMCB Division I Champion by beating all the established teams in WMCB and winning all the major trophies except one.  In 2009, Vikings continued its success from where they left off in 2008, but unfortunately depsite some great performances Vikings didn't bring home any trophy.

At the end of 2009 season, Vikings leadership decided to field a second team  in Washington Cricket League as well as fielding a team in WMCB for 2010 season to provide our younger players with more opportunities.  In our first year as a club in WCL, Vikings ended up with the best record in division II and made it to the Championship game to secure division I spot before losing the division II Championship game.
